This page contains information on all the clearances that coaches and club administrators need to have in order to be compliant with the Eastern Pennsylvania Soccer Association (EPYSA), the state of PA. and the CDC (Center for Disease Control).

GOT SOCCER (EPYSA Registration Software) will have the clearances links built into their software. This page is for informational purposes only or if the Got Soccer software should have issues.
BACKGROUND CHECK INSTRUCTIONS
1) Complete appropriate clearances 2) After you received your clearances, complete Risk Management for EPYSA. 3) During Risk Management you will be asked if you completed the clearances. 4) You will need to give a copy of your clearances to your clubs Risk Management Director. Volunteers who have lived in PA for 10 years or more: 1. PA State Police Criminal Record Check 2. PA Child Welfare History 3. FBI Affidavit Volunteers who have not resided in PA for 10 years and any paid coach: 1. PA State Police Criminal Record Check 2. PA Child Welfare History Clearance 3. FBI fingerprints Concussion and Safe Sport are annually required clearances. All coaches must be registered in the Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer Database to be added to a team. If your position in the club changes you will need to update your records. Example: You coach U10 in the fall but coach U12 in the spring. ALL VOLUNTEERS

HEADS UP to Youth Sports Online Training Video
The course is intended to provide coaches, parents & players with the knowledge necessary to be able to recognize possible signs of a concussion and arming coaches with a set of protocols to follow that will help insure the proper steps are taken to ensure the athlete's safety. Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer policy on concussion procedure and protocol mandates annual training to be completed by all coaches, assistant coaches and team managers
SafeSport Training
Our approach to preventing abuse in sport begins with awareness and how to recognize the red flags of emotional, physical and sexual misconduct, and then what to do if abuse does occur. Course covers the following topics in-depth and provide a pre-and post-testing component: Mandatory Reporting, Sexual Misconduct Awareness Education,Emotional and Physical Misconduct. In accordance with U.S. Soccer policy 212-3, all board members, coaches, team managers and trainers must complete SafeSport training annually.
Child Welfare History Clearance
This secure website is provided for individuals who want to have their Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance processed online. The Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance Check will provide the applicant information as to whether or not they are listed in the Pennsylvania statewide database as a perpetrator of child abuse.

FBI Clearance Check
The FBI will send an e-mail to the e-mail address provided on the request with a secure link and personal identification number for accessing all results, both foreign and domestic. The FBI will also send a hard copy of all results, both foreign and domestic, by First-Class Mail via the U.S. Postal Service if this option is selected during the request process.
