Lancaster Area Recreational Soccer, the league for kids who just love the sport and camaraderie! Every single season it's virtually an impossible task selecting just one coach for the Outstanding Coach Award!! I wish we could give an award too all of our coaches!!! We narrowed it down to a dozen or so in order to help us select a single coach. Then it was a unanimous decision for Coach Sikking! Please send a congratulations to the Fall 2025 Outstanding Coach, Nick Sikking!! Coach Nick embodies everything that youth sports should represent: dedication, compassion, and genuine care for every child he mentors. He works tirelessly to invest in the kids’ growth—not only as soccer players, but as young people learning how to navigate life. But what truly sets him apart is the life lessons he weaves seamlessly into coaching. Whether teaching the boys not to “cut corners,” helping them turn frustration into motivation, or gently guiding them through moments of conflict, he offers wisdom that will last long beyond a single soccer season. His impact reaches families too, often taking time to speak with parents about encouragement, confidence, and finding the right balance for each child. Coach Nick is far more than a coach—he is a mentor, a role model, and a steady, positive influence in the lives of our youth |
